Default Freedom Writers

Watched Freedom Writers over the weekend. I was surprised how much I liked it. I thought it would just be another Dangerous Minds type movie with a teacher who comes in and acts "cool" to get in good with the students and then motivates them to change...but that isn't the case at all. I would highly recommend this movie.

I finally saw this movie, i agree with Drum, it was a good movie, dragged on a little at the end but a solid movie, i was waiting for someone to die though and i was a bit disappointed it never happened.

I did a little more research and i just purchased the freedom writers diary from Amazon, the diary of the real kids that were portrayed in the movie.

I was also surprised by it when I watched it several months ago.

It was better than I thought it would be. Not great, but solid.

Are there explosions in it?

If not, it can't be that good.

Just rented this on Netflix. I too liked it although Hillary Swank annoyed me as always. Much better than Dangerous Minds. The student actors were great--I even wonder if some of them were actors.

I forgot I had wanted to see this movie. I need to get a copy. The teacher portrayed by Swank is the SIL of my best friend from high school, so that makes me practically famous. . .
