Default Non-BYU LDS players...

My alma mater (Texas A&M) now has 3 LDS players in the 2 deep:

Michael Corey WR
David Tufuga DL
Misi Tupe LB

It is kind of fun to watch LDS players doing well at schools other than BYU.

I don't experience this phenomena.

Cause they're your people, bro. Where's your Mormon pride? I generally like to see LDS guys do well, unless they're Utes of course.

I find that the enjoyment of seeing LDS player succeed elsewhere is more than offset by the inevitable "how did BYU miss out on this one?" bellyaching that accompanies the chronicles of these players.

I don't consider them LDS if they've forsaken the school of their church.

So, will you ever forgive me for going to Marist?

It's not whether he forgives you, it's whether the lord forgives you.

I'm sure not going to BYU is a ways down on the list of things I've done that will keep me out of heaven.

Probably that and the company you keep (Ute fans). But there is still time to repent and come unto the Lord(s university).
