It can be considered cruel to say that a man would put his son in danger for his political expedience, but history tells us that blood will kill blood for power.

Isn't that the point? If he was ogign to throw him under the bus wouldn't he use him to publicize his family's honor and patriotism even though it would increase the risk to the son and his unit?

That's unfair. It's one thing to stop loving your spouse, it's quite another thing to stop loving your children. The former is fairly common, the latter, not so much.

The idea that the news would be a good source to determine the amount of love the average person has for their children is so silly as to be laughable.

I appreciate that you don't think I'm a schmuck, though I'd understand if you did.

I'm voting for McCain because he would cause less damage to the country than Obama.

Not because he is an angry old white man?

Nope. He's not angry enough for me.

I'd rather have a different candidate than McCain, but he's the guy going against Obama. My vote is more against Obama than for McCain.

Mike -

McCain really could make a lot of political hay with publicizing this little known fact. But in so doing would jeopardize his son and those with whom his son is serving. Up to this point... there is nothing that would suggest otherwise.
