I've used turbo tax for the last several years but was wondering if there was another out there that would be better for the money.
Any suggestions?

I've been using TaxCut for the last several years. I think it works pretty well. My wife uses Microsoft Money to keep track of our finances and they generally have bundle discounts on that software with TaxCut.

Turbo tax has always worked like a dream for me. I bought the deluxe version this time, though, because I have a lot of deductions (bought a house last fall) and it purports to make figuring all of that out easier. So, we'll see. The basic version seemed to work fine in the past few years, though.

If you know what you're doing and your taxes are fairly simple, this is good.
http://www.esmarttax.com/ I've used it for a few years. It takes me 30 minutes start to finish to file fed and state, I think it costs $15 total, and I get my return dropped in my bank in about a week and a half. |

Do you suckers know nothing about the founding of our nation? You don't have to pay federal taxes.
