Anyone seen "Thank God you're here"?
I love improv comedy and on paper this show looks like it could be hilarious. However upon actually viewing two episodes I have to say that it just doesn't work for me. The problem is that they invite people who have no talent for this type of comedy. Of the 4 or 5 they invite there is one that has the kind of skills needed to do good improv.
I think a true improv comedy show with actual improv comics could work. I'm surprised nobody has really tried it since "whose line is it anyway" (which was at times decent and other times awful). |

I've seen it a couple of times. It was okay. Mr Sulu (?) from star trek was actually very funny, one of the better actors on there. Tom Green was awful. It was really embarassing to see him make a fool of himself on stage. No wit whatsoever and poor attempts at physical comedy that didn't translate well over to live tv.
