Default the oath

Did you all notice that Obama did go with the full middle name. I was proud of him for that.

And do you think CJ Roberts messed up the oath on purpose? Or do you think he feels bad about that?

CJR didn't use a cue card, and I would chalk up the flub to nerves. I think it's great though that Obama asked him to the White House this evening to swear him in a second time, word-for-word. Although the 20A rendered him President at noon yesterday thus making the oath a mere formality, it's just a minor sign that Obama wants to do everything right.

Love the new White House website.

Why on earth would anyone do that on purpose? It does nothing but reflect poorly on Roberts. I'm certain he felt embarrassed about it, especially since they ended up doing it again later.

Roberts is an idiot. His screw-up was on the level of all priest-messed-up sacrament prayers combined.

He should be put in stocks in a public square for 30 days.

I was KIDDING, Tex. He did ruin the moment, though. . . he should be embarrassed, just like those priests who get the sac prayer wrong.

Wow, are you for real? First you actually question whether Roberts screwed up on purpose. Why in the hell would he do that? Then, you say priests who stumble over a word on the sacrament prayer should be embarrassed. You're a real winner, huh?

Your sarcasm was too refined for my bludgeoned ears. I agree, it was a very ill-timed mistake.

Your sac prayer comment is truly gratuitous.

I think the pic is very flattering. Although maybe I can find a good one of BHO to replace it.
