Michigan was ranked 24th in the AP poll. Utah will be in the 20s somewhere, BYU won move.

Good grief. You still don't understand what I was arguing.

You said it yourself: Utahns are not likely to refrain from voting Republican in significant numbers, even though a woman is on the ticket.

Traditionally the week 2 poll has the most changes of any poll during the season, and many of the winning teams don't stay in the same order behind one another. Alabama will leapfrog BYU, and Kentucky will probably get more votes than TCU.

not what I said. But I guess you like twisting words, so I won't bother explaining further.

Did you take that avatar pic? If so, 2 things:

1. AWESOME game day experience, seeing your team in the Big house.
2. You literally had the worst seats in the entire stadium. wow!

Oh, you're right. "But it will be the rare Mormon who votes for the democratic ticket because of Palin." I can see how there's a huge twist from that to "not likely to refrain from voting Republican in significant numbers, even though a woman is on the ticket."

And I'm not the only one twisting words, if you are trying to depict my argument against your mono-causal interpretation of the chart as participation in the LDS Church's oppression of women.

Mike, PLEASE. This is BORING.

"Mr. Fair." Okay, I see my mistake. I was assuming I was dealing with somebody capable of understanding the complexities of a multi-causal phenomenon. I'll try to shift now to a modus operandi with which you are more comfortable:

"I'm like rubber, you're like glue. It bounces off me and sticks on you."

This is beyond stupid. I'm done with this.

your intellectual cowardice about the way women are raised and treated....well, it's all apparent. Not even UtahDan can come to your aid.

You know nothing of what you speak. I've gotten into trouble a number of times for speaking against the mainstream when it comes to Mormonism and women. I've criticized the overly simplistic world view of Beck and others, I've spoken out against male friends who have assumed overly dominant positions over their wives, and I have encouraged a good number of my female friends not to fall rank and file into the mono-scopic role of the stereotypical Mormon mother. I've done all of this on a number of occasions, much to the chagrin of friends, family, and church leaders who have advised me to hold my peace. Nobody who knows me at all would ever accuse me of cowardice when it comes to the way women are raised and treated.

Don't assume that I am sexist just because I think your argument sucks.
