The new iPhone
http://www.apple.com/iphone/
On the device, it looks like apple really did this right. Touch screen, Mac OS X built into it, integration with both Google and Yahoo, ability to download Widgets, etc. All in all, over 200 new patents on this one device alone. There are few issues I have with the phone. The price is a bit steep for the average American. But I mean, when you look at what it does, email, phone, iPod, plays videos, surfs the web, etc, it's not so steep. This IS a computer that also serves as a phone. And the touch screen design seems to be next wave. I'm not going to lie and say it's the perfect device. There are a few flaws with it that I can see, but they are mostly picking at gnats IMO. A 2 mega pixel camera isn't anything to get excited about (however the ability to manage your REAL digital photos is pretty cool). Secondly, I wonder if it isn't a bit of a hindrance signing only with Cingular to start off. Maybe Cingular is the best Network and the only one that the phone would work with off the bat. I don't know. I am interested in picking one of those things up. They look sweet. But at spending $600 for a phone/iPod, I don't know if that's where I'll be looking to go. Then again, I have at least until June to decide (and October really when my 2 year contract expires) so I guess I can save up and decide then. |

After it's been out a year, the price will go down.
I'd rather go with the $99 smart phone personally. Because mostly I use my phone to make phone calls. Not to look like I drive a volkswagen bug and watch Gilmore Girls. |

This phone looks sick. I have been waiting for this to come out. This phone and the new Nokia N95 to come out.
I have Cingular and have been looking at updating my Nokia 6682 phone. I have had no issues with Cingular except for the fact I have zero signal at Brighton and I am pretty sure Cingular is the loan provider without service there and it'd be handy to have in case of an accident.

I used to drive a VW Golf and I own the first 3 seasons of Gilmore Girls on DVD. What are you trying to say?

Wow. That looks awesome. Too bad they paired up with Cingular.

They should have paired with T-mobile. They are the only company that has 1 year contracts.

I already have a computer and a phone. Why do I need this?

I see. I guess I'm not enough of a nerd; I'm just a dork.
