Others look to the arts for "enlightenment". Some of the typically blue collar mentality look to the rough and tumble of sporting events. It's simply a diversion. And no, I wouldn't want most people beside me on the field of battle, only somebody battle hardened and reliable, some couch potato or author or anybody else. I wouldn't read too much in to guys letting it hang out except for the extremes.
