y'all dismiss Cali all you want. But McCain has made quite a gamble here.

With Obama having pissed off Hillary supporters (as of Sunday the number of former Hillary-ers saying they'll vote for McCain was at 27% and rising), McCain stands a great chance to swing these voters. He doesn't even really have to say anything.

But then he goes and picks up one of the most passionate pro-lifers in politics? He may have alienated more women than he picked up with his VP choice.

If Palin's experience is sufficient for McCain, so should be Obama's.
And here I thought a man was more than the sum of his resume.

Who's denying it's a gamble? Anyone?

This presupposes all Hillary supporters are passionately pro-choice. This pick goes after women like two friends of my wife. Both are suburban moms and for the most part, conservative. They are also both professionals, although taking time to raise children. They wanted Hillary all along. Why? Because she is a woman. That was it, they wanted to see a woman elected.

Not a big sample size, I know, but I wonder how many suburban women out there feel the same.

I know what you were saying, I just wonder why you automatically assume that reaction should she make a mistake. How about, "this is what happens when you nominate inexperience"?

After numerous gaffs by Obama I haven't heard one person tie it back to his race. Yet you go right for some sexist comment.

Your support for Obama in the primaries is coming into focus.

Hillary supporters are not going to vote Republican come November.

Just like Romney supporters are all going to vote for McCain in November.

If people wanted to see a woman elected, Walter Mondale and Geraldine Ferraro would not have been waxed in the general election. Liddy Dole couldn't event out of the starting blocks. And Hillary still lost the nomination despite unparalled support, hype, and profile.

Sarah Palin will wind up making little difference in any of this except maybe some bathing suit pics may surface.

Wow! She's gorgeous and can sculpt ice like Michelangelo! As far as I'm concerned, we can skip the campaign and go right to the election, my mind is made up.
