this would be the ultimate admission of folly and failure by Holmoe and Bronco. Talk about a chitty schedule. At this rate I may just quit being a fan. Sick of this garbage product.

BYU is really caught out there in no man's land with it's independent status.

BYU will not get an invite from the ACC.
BYU will not get an invite from the Big 12. And even if they did, they would probably scuttle that due to their obsession with the chitty BYUTV thing. SEC, lol. Big 10, lol. Pac-12, lol. In short, there is no invite coming, and probably never will be an invite coming. I think Bronco is an advocate for easier scheduling, and thus would like a move to the MWC and the WAC. Bronco's white whale is getting to a BCS game, and he sees this as the savior of the program, so he would scuttle everything for a chance to get to a BCS game. I think BYU and their not-so-smart brain trust would not mind rejoining a WAC/MWC as long as there was a decent TV contract (i.e. ESPN). They are at real risk here of exasperating hard-core fans to the point of no return. |
