Default Anyone catch Colbert last night?

I saw it this morning, so I assume it was last night's show. He did a hilarious piece on Gordon B Hinckley's passing. First he announced the death and then he turns to face the camera and he says "I believe it was muuuuurrrrdder". He then pops a picture of Monson on the screen and says who stands to benefit from this murder more than Thomas Monson who at age 81 is full of that greed and lust for power." Finally he says, "the main reason Monson would do it is so that he could have control over America's first Mormon President Mitt Romney." At this point they cut to footage that you assume will be Romney but it's Guy Smiley from Sesame Street popping through some stage curtains and waving to the game show crowd in a blue blazer, hair perfectly in place. It had me laughing harder than I have in a while. Then on the screen is Monson's picture with Guy Smiley as he finishes the segment. In the end he decides it was likely the writers of his own show who probably committed the murder and pleads for them to come back and tell their side of the story "in 4 or 5 segments of 5 minutes each with room for commercials between each part."

I can't find it on youtube yet, but it was very, very funny. Also very surreal to see Monson and Hinckley being discussed in a 5 minute segment on Colbert.

OK, I think I found a way to embed it here:

Nope, but here's the link:

That should tell you that it's very funny. They're too busy over there worrying about which media outlets gave proper respect.

I saw it. I thought it was pretty funny. I can see why some would find it disrespectful, but I personally didn't think the subtext was disrespectful.

I would be disappointed if Monson himself didn't find the piece funny.

It's the Colbert Report. Nothing there should be taken seriously. I found it really funny and I loved the "puppit" reference. Hilarious.

I laughed, but it was guilty laughter.
