so then...did you hear about the young mormon couple struggling w/5 kids and a civic or something like that...gave $50k from their savings (i guess they weren't struggling too much then) to support prop 8 in california? i was just wondering just how important is it to the mormon church that two same-sex individuals not have rights as traditionally married couples. is it that big a deal to go against it?

It is true. They are from Sacramento. I am not sure the were exactly "struggling" but they do live a very modest lifestyle and they chose to dump their savings into the campaign.
