Default Tornado wipes Kansas Town from Earth

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,270153,00.html

Having come from Kansas, now I'm glad I left. I was from the Northeast, but if one stands on a hill, one can see the southwest from the northeast as Kansas is about the flattest damn land in the world.

Nice people. Not much to do when you are famous for the diameter of your well.

Yeah, there are tornadoes and there are TORNADOES. Gerdy can correct me if I'm wrong, but that one was a beast. You don't see them very often.

Weatherguy here said there've already been 50 tornado touchdowns today. I love this time of year!

That was a five if I'm not mistaken.

I'm not sure if you were suggesting a five instead of my fifty. I meant fifty (actually forty-five at last count).

Or perhaps you meant the tornado was an EF-5, in which case I agree with you, the clean-swept foundations are indicative of an EF-5.

After seeing photos of the damage an EF-5 causes, it's a bit of a relief that the the tornado that touched down here in SLC was "just" an EF-2.

We really don't. This freak tornado just happened to rip through downtown Salt Lake a few years ago and did a bit of damage. Tornadoes NEVER happen in Utah.

What a crazy picture:

I can't imagine having my house taken away in a tornado, but losing your entire city is incomprehensible.

The only word that comes to mind while viewing that photo is:

Wow.
