Default Is there anything ore barbaric than Islam?

If any national culture deserves destruction, truly it is Islam?

Islam and Wahabiism are different things. Wahabiism and Salfism are very cruel, strict and lovable cultures within Islam, but Islam is not some monolithic structure. There is an enormous amount of variety in Islam, akin to the diversity of opinion and culture in Christianity.

Yes, Sufism is charitable and kind, but the moderate strains do nothing to mollify or moderate the extremist strains of Islam.

Islam needs a new renaissance, but I doubt it will happen.

I think it will happen at some point but the question is whether we're talking 20 years, 50 years, or 500 years.

I guess the trillion dollar question is whether or not you can give the wild eyed portions of Islam a push into moderation. We are in the process of finding out I guess.

Perhaps our better historians can identify what factors help eliminate or moderate the more militant factions of Christianity.
