Default Need music recommendations

Let me know of albums that you have enjoyed, esp. if it is of recent date or a little obscure.

Greg Graffin, lead singer of Bad Religion, released an old-school folk album. I liked it.

Band - Split Enz
Album - True Colours

It's not new (released in 1980) and the only way I know how to get it is online - I got it from Amazon (for about $7) - and reading about your varied music tastes, I think you may enjoy it.

Yoshimi battles the Pink Robots by the Flaming Lips, At War with the Mystics by the Flaming Lips.

But then again I love most things from Oklahoma.

I have mentioned Shiny Toy Guns before. Their album We Are Pilots is great. Better than great. I love it. Carah the frontwoman rocks my world. Great voice.

Brand New's The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me. Some great stuff there as they have really worked on the depth of their music. Jesus Christ and Sowing Season are two noteworthy songs, and also their two singles off that album.

The Shins new album was released last month but I have been listening to it for a few months. It is worth picking up. They're playing this Friday at In The Venue in SLC for anyone interested.

Straylight Run is another band I really like. I believe two of the members are from Taking Back Sunday. They split off and mellowed their tone and added the sister of one of the guys.

Pinback. They have a few albums out. Very different, eclectic sound and style.

Default hate suggesting music when i don't know what ppl like

I've been listening to In a Million Pieces by, the Draft, a great band made up former Hot Water Music guys

Classic Case is a great band with some Utah ties, their 2nd album Losing at Life just came out. I've enjoyed it.

I've also been listening to Against Me!'s live cd called Americans Abroad,

the Tossers (a great Chicago band of Irish ex-pats, way better than Flogging Molley) cd Shadow in the Valley of Death

and a double album of Billy Bragg's greatest hits
