Default Cholesterol

What's the fastest, easiest way to get my cholersterol tested? I haven't do it in years and am curious about the number. And I"m hoping the answer is not: go to you PCP because I don't consider that fast or easy. Are there home tests or quick clinics that do this type of thing?

you can be such an ass. (but you know that). No, I really don't know. There are all kinds of tests, I gather, and do I really have to go to a dr? I'm wondering if any here have experience with that. It's a normal question, you ass. (repeated for emphasis).

You want to know the most efficient way to get a medical procedure down outside of the normal medical system? With the caveat that going through the normal medical system is, duh, not the most efficient way?

Penny wise, pound foolish.

The only reason I can think of where one might want to bypass the normal system is because you don't want something to show up for insurance reasons. So you don't go through a doctor, you pay cash, you get no interpretation, guidance, or followup. Not to mention, no treatment. It doesn't strike me as very efficient, for most people.

See, you could just try starting with something like that. I'm just sayin'. I don't expect I need treatment. I'm mainly just curious. And your hypothesis suggests that I already have a good dr. I have a dr, I just don't really like her, so looking for one I do like would add to the inefficiency. One is on one's own for so much when it comes to medical care anyway.
