If you must pigeonhole me, this is as good a label as any. I am on record here criticizing know it all atheists, including in this thread, just as I have your professed "knowledge" of spiritual matters. The real irony is that you consider yourself a postmodernist.

Although this is a silly semantic discussion, I'm inclined to ask just one more question...

tooblue, if no one else can tell what you know or don't know, why feel inclined to tell us? And if that statement is truly relevant to the discussion (I'm still not sure how your statement of your "knowledge of God" relates to the frequent discrepancy between belief and actions that we were discussing? Are you trying to say you're perfect?...), then why is it suddenly above reproach?

Anyway, silly discussion...moving along.

As to why:

Quote:
I cannot abide people telling others what they can or cannot know. I am compelled by my convictions to counter patently false statements that are derogatory
Quote:
If A remains silent there is no argument and perhaps that signifies to B that he has rightful claim to authority. Authority that he did not earn, but merely assumed, uncontested.
I never said I was perfect nor did I claim a perfect knowledge.

Are you afraid of the word and the science it connotes?

Postmodernism isn't a system for handicapping, forgiving or rationalizing logical gaps, absurdities or even patent fraud and self-delusion in organized religious movements.
