Default BYU bowl scenarios

BYU goes to either the Las Vegas or Poinsettia.

Bowl eligible:
USC
Oregon St.
Oregon
California
Arizona

Not Bowl Eligible:
Stanford
Washington
Washington St.

Possibly going to be eligible:
Arizona State

Unlikely to be be eligible:
UCLA

If Poinsettia, then looks like BYU will play a WAC team.

I'm hoping for UCLA, just for the comedy factor.

BYU is likely to play flat, having had such a disappointing season. I don't see BYU playing well, and could end up losing its bowl game again. Bronco doesn't seem to get the team up for big games. It would be cool for Bronco to say, "we're not going, we don't deserve to go." That would show fire and determination. Not going to happen though.

What happened to BYU v. Boise in the Poinsettia? That's what I'm hoping for. I'd love to root for BYU in that. I never thought I'd be rooting for BYU through most of a season like I have this one. I bet BYU would eat Boise's lunch.

Boise is a better team then the Y this year. Moore, their freshman QB, is better then Hall and they have more speed in their backfield. Their CB's are good enough to slow down Collie. Unga would have a big day against them but not enough to win the game for them.

Unga would NOT have a big game........because dim whit Anae would start throwing the ball at the first sign of being down 3 points.

It's a pretty messed up world when a 10-2 team can be said to have had a disappointing year.

That is very funny.

It's also rather accurate.

This season was disappointing because it started with so much promise, and ended flat. TCU was an absolute massacre. And several games were wins, but poor football. And the result of the Utah game was exactly what I expected. In fact, it was closer than I expected, at least in the 3rd quarter.

Maybe Bronco can go to the Lou Holtz school of expectation-building. The "Quest" has to go down as ill-conceived.

I will say it for all of us: Ken Schmidt, we are sorry.
