Have I ever said it isn't their priority #1? I think my argument has been the whole time that some women know themselves so well that they know their families will be better off if they work, even if it is just part time, outside of the home. In that way, they're putting their family first. There; that's the ninth time I've stated the argument, and I won't again.

If the Bishop asks you to give a talk on Mother's Day, turn him down; it'll be your most charitable act of the year.

So your assumption that they can just wait a few years, and then jump right back in is false. (1) hard to jump back in, and (2) several kids = several years.

We're not even touching those families where both parents have to work to support the family. But I'm not going there; we've kept it mostly at the discretionary level, and I'll keep it there.

Anyways, agree with the general principles espoused by the Church; believe that it's God's plan generally, but not in every situation. Even Sister Beck agrees with me on that one: it's a decision between a woman and God in that woman's unique circumstances.
Wow, a couple that would be miserable staying at home with their kids is going to want to have several children? Riiiight.

I don't give a rat's ass what Sister Beck agrees with you on.

Why? Maybe I'm a bishop, maybe I'm the EQP, maybe I'm the program picker-upper after sacrament meeting. Who cares...

I care; don't want a wolf being the shephered of a flock.

We can warn you about Norcal until the cows come home, but you can never really understand until you have your own NorCal experience.

Harsh? Yes. But you're a stronger person now.

I'm not talking about part-time work.

OBVIOUSLY it's not priority 1, if they aren't willing to postpone their career to raise their kids. And like I have said before, they shouldn't NEED to work their entire adult life in order to be happy.

No way. I will speak, and record it for you so you can listen.

Are you kidding? It's like teaching your kids the 'pull my finger' trick your old man pulled on you. You didn't like it then, but you/re gonna laugh now.

Next, for our viewing pleasure, go tell woot that you think evolution is bunk. Really, it will be fun!
