Also, why is this inappropriate for a sacrament talk?
probably because we don't worship mary..

P.S. can textual critics weigh in on the Mary Magdalene = prostitute issue. Being a grace guy, I love the idea. But my understanding is that this is most likely not correct.

Most definitely it was Mary, Mother of Christ!

Are you talking to me? If so, on what question? My why is it inappropriate for sacrament question? Or is Mary Magdalene = prostitute question?

I guess I read your post as that they were trying to be more like her. Apparently I'm not funny.

I thought it was funny, but not appropriate for Sacrament Meeting.

Religion rises inevitably from our apprehension of our own death. To give meaning to meaninglessness is the endless quest of all religion. When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith.

I'm not appropriate for Sacrament meeting on most Sundays. Start with my shirt color and it is just down hill from there. Although apparently, based on Drum's experience, you can say almost anything and only the very alert will notice.
