This has been out there for a while and I have still not heard any explanation. W is certainly a member of Skull and Bones and I don't doubt but that they have secret handshakes. I am not aware that Monson is, however. If Monson or Bush are Masons that would be a very big surprise indeed. There is also a video floating around of GBH and Dick Chaney doing the same thing.

I haven't been following it that closely. What is the explanation you have heard? I don't really know what, if anything, to make of it. Just sort of in the dark.

I haven't been following it that closely either, but I'm wondering ... does it require an explanation? Is it possible it's just a casual handshake and Bush didn't wrap his fingers all the way around Monson's wrist?

I feel stupid even typing this response. To think otherwise seems so conspiracy-theorist to me.

Holy cow, I hadn't seen the Cheney/Hinckley handshake. That's just weird. Seriously, I've never shook hands that way with anyone outside you know where.
