Amen brother UteStar! Meatballs were a staple. When we ate out, we would get kebabs (gyros, really) which were great. Moonlight cafe in Skogas had the best. There was also a joint in Linkoping (or was it Norrkoping?) that had the biggest kebabs known to man.

Seriously though, who can trust their culinary judgment when they were on their mission? I would eat damn near anything that was free and love it. Mission food to me is more about nostalgia than taste.

Well, if fake food that is passed off as Italian is your thing, more power to you.

The only thing worse than Hospitaliano at Olive Garden is when people pronounce the food "eye-talian."

PS As I have told Livecoug many times, Fazolis here in Santa Ana accepts food stamps. yum.

I hear you about the pronunciation problem. The country isn't Eyetaly. Mention that and people usually never get it wrong again - and you also make them look pretty stupid too.

That Fazolis accepts food stamps tells us all we need to know about it's food.
