Only three votes in my poll? Only three people here don't have "testimonies"? I find that hard to believe.

I don't want him to leave this site. He adds a lot to it. But his bitter hatred of the LDS church is beyond old. There are other things that can be discussed in the religion forum that can be worthwhile for all.

Do you think belittling people or insulting people is a method to get people to leave? It is just a game we play and for sure SU plays it very well.

Now when Schaff was belittled and insulted, that was an intent to get someone to move along. SU has street cred with most here, his afternoons every first sunday of the month from age 12-16 were spent doorknocking begging for money. Besides that it still amazes my oldest brother when we speak of Elder Neeleman going apostate. Apparantly before Elder Neeleman got jealous that God likes his younger brother more he had a reputation in the Quito mission for breaking down and sobbing like Kyle Whittingham, after his defense forgot to cover Jonny Harline, whenever he testified of his deep and profound admiration for the Prophet Joseph Smith......

I jumped in and made one comment. Then left.

It's not my fault it was brilliant.

Am I the only one who sees exquisite irony in the LDS Church's plea to apostates, "Just leave us alone!" This is one way in which the LDS Church is monstrously hypocritical.
As long as an individual is on the records of the Church, the Church will attempt to contact that individual. If an individual requests no contact, but does not request their names to be removed, local leaders will most likely leave them alone with only ocassional or periodic visits. Although it is rare, there have been individuals who after many years of no contact, return to full fellowship. There is no hypcrosy in seeking after the "one" we believe is lost and consider to be our brother.

The message brought to that "lost" individual is one of fellowship and good tidings. The apostates message is typically one filled with criticism and for some, even hate. I have yet to meet an apostate who was sincere in his new found beliefs and/or unbelief that showed a concern for the eternal welfare of my soul...the message the apostate typically shares is one of criticism in their attempt to disprove the Church. Quite a contrast from the Church's message of search, ponder, and pray.

Natives of the Conejo Valley are never cute. Occasionaly overrated ugly ass redheads unable to recognize a blitz, other times doped up sprinters and occassionally Depeche Mode lovin' homerun hitters but never cute. Now if you take into consideration that DDD is a 37 year old man who looks like a 14 year old girl, I could understand you sentiment, but wouldn't that be kinda growse and unnatural?
