Here is my proposal: rather than you make the same point hundreds of times, why don't we all just note your standing objection that you think we're all so open minded our brains have fallen out.

That way you can be confident that we know just what you think, and the rest of us who value the discussion can just go talking to each other. You have made it abundently clear that you think most of what is discussed here is a complete waste of time. You may be correct. Can't we just leave it at that? I think you have more than made your point and that it really requires no additional reiteration.

Fair?

Here is my counter proposal: The guys on here who can't resist taking constant pot shots at the Church it's leaders, it's beliefs and then mock those who believe in it as whole do the same in turn and then maybe we can have a basis to discuss it further, otherwise no dice. As long as they're here to slam it constantly under the guise of "seeking light and knowledge", instead of having honest intentions, then I'll be here to call them on their B.S. Most of them are full of guile and you damn well know it.

And don't give me the B.S. that some on here don't do it consistently, cause if you do then we especially have ZERO to talk about then.

You are remarkably angry. I imagine that in part this is beause you feel like what you believe is beseiged and requires a strident defense.

I think you ought to seriously consider (and I say this in perfect seriousness) being an example of the things you believe. Neither the church nor the gospel has ever needed or benefitted from the kind of defense you are trying to provide it. You would be far more persuasive if you would display some humility, patience and kindness. Whether others do or not really doesn't matter.

With that in mind, I would renew my request that you please consider not getting involved in conversations where you don't think you can display those qualities. To do otherwise just undermines the points you are making. Moreover, I think we all know what your point is. You must have realized by now that yelling louder, so to speak, is not changing anyones mind.

My opinions don't equate to anger. I can see why they'd come across that way because of how I word and voice them. I can voice them and feel this way and still be remarkably calm. In person I'm the same and can voice my opinions all the same. Having said that I have never claimed and never will claim to being a perfect example of Christ and being like him. Like all of you, I could certainly be better in that regard. I have ALWAYS been open and blunt. Many times to a fault, but that's who I am. Unlike many on here you never will wonder where I stand. I choose to take a side.

I think you ought to seriously consider standing for something. I really do. Some of you are sincere in search for knowledge, while others are far from it and like I said before are filled with guile.

I give up. Do as you've always done, you'll get what you've always gotten.

As will they. Compromise requires more than one person, being in law you should know that.

I don't know what you believe others need to compromise on. You're exactly clear, even though you're blunt.

Bluntness should not be mistaken for precision.

Let's examine your chief hypothesis. It appears you are stating, and I don't want to misstate your position, that you believe it takes courage to condemn the viewpoint of others on an internet message board, when they disagree with you.

You use a barnyard expression, "to have balls to call people on their BS."

The application of your life's moral code is confusing at best. (Yes, we know you would say it to our faces as well, we understand the issue of machismo that you have.)

How is it courageous to be rude and to disagree disagreeably?

Please answer that question.

Do you walk around Church telling the bishop he's full of shit, if you don't like his opinion? Now that might take some courage, audacity and downright temerity. I imagine not.

Do you tell your boss to F Off when you disagree with him?

You probably don't. Why? Is it because you are afraid of the consequences if you did? So where's the real courage in insulting people anonymously?

There is only real courage where there are consequences.

Please explain how disurpting the flow of conversation is courageous. We really don't understand your mission in life. Is it to be the more disliked child on the block? We know you do not wish anybody to like you. We understand you wish public scorn and disdain. You've probably achieved that.

From your disdain of everybody here, we can't gather any other noble purpose. Is there one?
