Default Robin Williams

If you are looking for an actor to hate, may I humbly suggest Robin Williams. He deserves some credit for his role in Good Will Hunting, but pretty much every other role he has had in recent memory makes my stomach turn. Maybe it is just me, but the characters he plays and the manner in which he plays them seem sappy and manipulative. Anyone else feel that way?

I loved him in Good Will Hunting and Good Morning Vietnam. I hated What Dreams May come. I haven't watched him in anything since.

If you ever eat some poisonous mushrooms and you can't find your bottle of ipicac, just pop in a DVD of the movie Hook and your problem will be solved.

Default I think he's creepy

which is why he was good for Insomnia and One Hour Photo.

I've liked movies he's been in but not because of him.

He was ok in Night at the Museum, though I really have a difficult time liking his films because I hate his politics. He's another one of those socialist Hollywood weasels.

I have to admit I absolutely love What Dreams May Come, and he's part of the reason. I'm not a big Robin Williams fan, but as bad as he may be in a dramatic role he's 10 times worse when he's trying to be funny.

Was that the one where he was the doctor and the patient ends of killing his wife/girlfriend? Or am I thinking of a different movie?
