You will note that Utah's ranking fell, despite winning.

Even though I've not seen either team play, I'm skeptical of Penn State and Mississippi's rankings.

Syracuse is not a good team at all. PSU did not have a score that reflected anything amazing to me. There is still a pro-Big 10 bias in the polling, that doesn't reflect how far that conference has fallen.
