That's a good start. But far from complete.

Buttars also did his best to promote legislation to stop "Gay-Straight Alliance" clubs from forming in Utah high schools. And he was a non-stop quote (i.e. "gaffe") machine during the entire process. It was something to behold.

Ok, I will give you this: if West Jordan votes him out of office, I will give West Jordan some credit. If they do not, then I don't know how you can dispute that his views don't reflect the communities'.
You were the one that set the height of that bar with your hyperbole in the initial post of this thread. I just argued that Buttars clears it. Low it may be but Buttars still clears it. Don't set the height yourself then whine about how low it is.

As far as West Jordan, South Jordan, etc. goes, I guess you'll find out in 8 months. Buttars is up for re-election in November and has stated that he will not step down but will run again. You can ask me how I voted come November.

Why do you care about Utah state politics? I hadn't even heard of this guy until it came up on this site ... I can understand Utahns posting about him, but where's your interest?

You haven't decided yet? What, are you waiting to see if he runs against Satan? (that would still be a tough call, IMO)

Maybe the Reps. will run the South Valley Chapter Head of the Utah Eagle Forum against him in the primary. In that case, I would stick with Buttars.

Maybe Buttars wins the primary and the Dems run Brian Barnard against him. In that case, I would stick with Buttars.

Brian Barnard? Doesn't ring a bell. Is he a child molestor? Nazi? Terrorist?

Nope, worse. He's a lawyer.
