The Big 8 must have have had their own thoughts about expansion, and maybe they considered BYU, but certainly no evidence for tha tin the article. Sounds like they wanted only A&M and UT.

That's what I got out of it as well. That they wanted A&M and UT but ended up taking Baylor and Tech to get who they really wanted.

I have no expectation of BYU getting into the PAC-10 or Big 12 anytime in the next 20 years.

I agree and will add Utah to the list of teams that won't get into a BCS conference. Until there are 10M+ tv sets along the Wasatch Front, they don't want either team.

I thought common sense was what shot down the belief that BYU was the choice for Big 12 expansion.
