Default Games with Auburn and Nebraska?

Holmoe mentioned on 1320 this morning that he's very good friends with the Auburn A.D. and with new Nebraska Head Coach Bo Pelini and that he's been in discussions with both about scheduling them for the future.

Course, I'll believe it when I see it, but still exciting to think about it.

If we could get Auburn and Nebraska in LES........fun times.

Connections play a big part in scheduling. We scheduled Alabama because Glen Tuckett had connections inside Alabama and in fact eventually became a temporary AD for Bama during their probation years. Of course, that friendship didn't prevent Bama from stiffing us on coming to Provo and forcing us to schedule either Arkansas State or Murray State as a replacement.

Cool

Now I'll have nightmares of playing Auburn, Nebraska, Florida State, and Arizona State in the same season. That's about the WORST possible schedule imaginable.

With that schedule, you just cured BYU71's affliction that sometimes plagues gentlemen in their advanced age.

Sounds like an ideal situation for the Cougs; hopefully Holmoe's connections will come through.

I've had a chance to watch SC play both schools on the road....definitely a must do, if you get a chance. Last year's roadie to Nebraska was THE best away trip, I've ever had; didn't pay for any meals my last two days in Lincoln.

Praise Allah! If they played this year, BYU would beat Nebraska by 14+ and lose to Auburn by 21+. Win or lose, I'd love to see it.

We'd have a good chance of beating Auburn this year. They have a very poor offense.
