I was able to dunk a basketball back in high school fairly regularly. Most of the time it involved lobbing the ball up to myself, as I had a hard time palming the ball. Never even attempted in a game situation.

Now, 15 years and 15 pounds later, I can touch the rim but that is about it. A couple of years ago I could pull the rim down, but now I would probably just fall on my back if I tried.

As for me:

No, No and No. It is one of the great shames in my life that at 6'2" I could do no more than grab the rim. Meanwhile guys like bluegoose can dunk at 5'10". I was reading an article about a guy who has a booming business training 30 somethings to dunk. They pay him $5,000 and he guarantees it within a few months.
Yes, no, yes. I'm 6'3 and used to have 31" vertical jump--high jumped 6'5. I could slam double clutch two hand reverse. Those were the glory days.

Yes, No, Yes.

In high school I had some good leaping ability. I'm only 5'10 but I would high jump 6'4" and with a lil stickem (read: smaller hands) I could dunk regularly. Right now I'm only able to jump and grab onto the rim :-(

Oh well, guess I'll have to go back to high school to learn to dunk again...
