Was UCLAs defense really crappy last year? They finished the year ranked 27th in total defense and 29th in scoring defense.

Arizona in 2006 was 35th in scoring defense and put 5 guys in the NFL from that D.

SDSU in 2005 I cant argue with. Good call.

Read it again. I said that some BYU teams have been great against poor teams but the had a much tougher time against other good teams. My point being that walloping bad teams doesn't tell you very much about how you will fair against respectable ones.

For example, in 2006 BYU ran rough shod over the MWC until it played Utah and we all remember the heroics that were needed to win that game.
