I didn't realize that Anae was not a fan favorite.

BYU fans have too many fond memories of Sarkesian, so he's out.

interesting that some of the most influential football people in SoCal the past few years have all been BYU guys....No-Cho, Sarkisian, and Walker.

Go ahead, just keep twisting that knife.....

Troy had about 20 sacks in that game, so at least that was okay.

He's got scoreboard; that was rock bottom, or maybe the loss to TCU in the Sun Bowl, or was it against Fresno in the Freedom Bowl, or better yet the 13 straight losses to ND....nah, losing 8 in a row to FUCLA was the worst.

So I guess losing to MAFU wasn't as bad as I originally thought, thank goodness for PC!

Troy would be the USC LB or S, correct? He had a tremendous game.

I still think that USC underestimated Utah's defense going into that game and by the time the Trojans figured out that the Utes weren't going to roll over, it was too late.

Many of my friends thought it was a boring game because of the low score, but I love defensive struggles. For me, watching a team's defense force their will on an opponent is a thing of beauty.

Yes, Troy Polamalu. Currently SS for the Steelers.

he is the guy who has that huge tuft of hair sticking out of the back of his helmet.

I remember watching a couple games when Polamalu was there that he got 20+ tackles, IIRC.

For the longest time, I thought UCLA's Eric Turner was the best safety I'd ever seen (too young to remember Lott) in the PAC 10. Polamalu was better.

Creekster, good question. He wasnt very good, although he had a +.500 record, actually, so it wasnt Lou holtz bad. He lost his last 6 games one season with the jets and was fired. His 3 years with the pats, he made the playoffs twice. His suckiness is overblown, but even PC said he didnt do well.

how did he do with the 9ers in management? Handling both jobs would be dynamite combo, eh?
