USU turned down the MWC
http://www.utahstateaggies.com/genrel/081910aab.html
They are starting to look like the heroes/martyrs. Now they are winning over the hearts of BYU fans all over. Those crafty bastards. I hope USU emerges ok, whatever happens with BYU. |

I have no pity for Utah State. This is what Utah State gets for pandering to BYU. Now shrivel up and die, Utah State. Utah State, now that you're stuck in a gutted WAC, is BYU going to do anything for you?

Utah State has obviously missed the point.
No one has any allies in college athletics. You have to do what is best for you, no matter how it may impact anyone else. USU just missed their golden opportunity. |

Yet almost 100% of BYU fans berate Utah for abandoning BYU in the MWC. Hypocrites all of you, in so many ways. THIS IS YOUR KARMA. Very precise. NO big conference wants BYU because of its behavior. You make your own karma.

it's funny to be berated by the equivalent of Washington State.
Could Utah go independent? Hell no. It would be laughable. Complete non-starter. Would ESPN be in negotiations with Utah for an exclusive contract? Not a chance. So shut up. |

One of the most interesting things about the recent development is learning that Cougarboard really is a reflection of the mentality of BYU's leadership. It's a terrible realization.

It's a demonstration that the status quo is unsustainable. 1.5 million per year in TV money? Really?
A TV rating that is beyond minimal on a channel no one gets? Really? Free up the schedule. Play games across the country (not just in the west where anti-Mormons exist in large ugly heaps). Get your firesides out on the east coast. Get Mormons and non-Mormons tuned into BYU-TV. This is bigger than football, bigger than athletics. BYU football is too valuable a PR tool to be locked away in some Comcast closet. |
