Default Step 1 of black reparations.....

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/07/...ef=mpstoryview

Now I can expect my (who's parents didn't live in the US during slavery) tax dollars to be handed out to blacks. Hey it worked for the Native Americans (oh wait, it didn't......most live in the same conditions they did 100 years ago), so let's hand it out to another group.

The US government makes me sick at times!

But did your parents actively campaign against slavery? If not they're as guilty as the slave owners.

Everyone is guilty as the slave owners and thus should fork out their tax dollars?

I guess it's everyone's fault that 70% of children are born out of wedlock in Washington, DC are black? So we should raise them and pay for whatever they need growing up?

Does personal responsibility fit into any of your equations?

Our society has failed them. Since we are all members of society we are all guilty. Personal responsibility has nothing to do with it.

Personal responsibility with the out of wedlock birthrate has no personal responsibility attached to it? Interesting.

What else is society responsible for?

Society has, could have, and should have no interest in preserving heterosexual marriage. Doesn't matter, won't affect marriage to let gays marry. No harm will be done. What's the big deal?

But apologizing (and perhaps paying) for acts committed by people centuries dead ... now there's something with some impact. Gotta draw the line somewhere.

I was thinking that the Government needs to legislate the nutritional content of food. Attack the problem not the symptom.

LOL. I take it you're not much of a believer in the Law of Unintended Consequences?
