Default Chow hired at UCLA

So explain to me why he removes himself from consideration after interviewing for the HC position but then he accepts as OC? Did the Tennessee firing really catch him by surprise or was the removal from consideration a defense mechanism from a guy who knew he didn't have the job?

Because when it comes to HC positions Chow has never been anything but a window shopper.

Yikes. No-Cho not popular right now on the SC message boards.

His kid is still at SC right now. Should be a fun week for him.

Now all of a sudden I have interest in going to the FUCLA game on Sep 13.

UCLA with Walker, Neuheisel and Chow will be a tough cookie.

Agree. This one could make all the BCS busting talk moot in a hurry.

FUCLA still lacks the players. They have a great coaching staff, but no horses to run it. And No-Cho isnt going to turn that team around in his first season.

Let's see how well he recruits against PC. He did a great job recruiting under him.

Whoops. Sorry.

You have a very valid point on that account.

I still take BYU in September.

This will be the third offense in 3 years that FUCLA has run.

Norm Chow doesn't want to be a head coach that is why he didn't listen to it. I think he likes being courted, but he likes the life of a coordinator far too much to take a head coaching job. If Chow wanted to be a head coach, he would already be a head coach.
