Default why the conspiracy to leave out Texas?

in a description of what kind of home you can get for 1 million.

http://money.cnn.com/galleries/2007/...r_homes/9.html

I'd like to see the home in Texas that is $800/sf. The walls would be diamond-encrusted.

Don't get me wrong, I like Dallas just fine, but I'd take a 1,400 square foot shack in San Francisco over a diamond encrusted mansion in Texas any day. Two months of over 100 F weather just isn't worth the diamonds.

You can't afford 1400 sf in SF though. I mean, do you think you can live in 300sf?

What will 200,000$ get you in SF versus Dallas?

To put the bay area in perspective...$2500 a month in rental payment will get you a nice 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom apartment.

I know. I know. That's why we're in Dallas and not San Francisco. But if we could afford a million dollar house, I'd rather have a little in San Francisco than a lot in Dallas.

You've been to our house. We're used to close quarters.

a 1200 sf house with 3 teenage boys is different than one with two small kids.

Well, there is nothing colder than a San Francisco summer day.
