Default Need to mention the passing of Frank Deford

There was no greater giant in sports journalism during my lifetime than him.

I can't say that I read all that much. After all, I didn't grow up with a subscription to SI.

But his article "The Rabbit Hunter" really struck me as a wonderfully written piece when I read it as a young man.

RIP

He was a writer who wrote about sports and other matters. Most sports writers are sports aficionados who try to write. I enjoyed him back in the day.
