I have heard of surfing in the UK before and have seen some footage on shows like Step into Liquid (I think....maybe it was Riding Giants). Those guys are hardcore.
One thing about wetsuits.....they do keep you warm, but you still have to get in at first.......the water in Ireland must literally be painful, not just uncomfortable. The kid in the pic is carrying an awfully short board for massive waves.
