Pander and Run

Interesting article from the author of a recent book entitled "The Good Fight: Why Liberals -- and Only Liberals -- Can Win the War on Terror and Make America Great Again."

His basic point seems to be that while there is a coherent foreign policy position out there to be taken to compete with the White House, democrats have somewhat synically refused to take it, instead opting for whatever position makes the White House look worst.

Though I didn't agree with the thrust of his book, Beinart is certainly interesting and far more intellectually centered in his analysis than most of the polemicists writing on the topic today.
