Cheap places to stay in Vegas

Likely spending next Friday night in Vegas, looking for cheapest room possible. Motel 6 is $80 for a Friday night, are there any places cheaper, maybe some Casinos?

If it is the Motel 6 off the strip do not stay there. It looks like a warzone. I stayed there when I went to the Utah-UNLV game in 2003. As I was walking (drunk of course) from my hotel room to the strip to get a Fatburger and do some gambling, I looked on the ground and saw a used condom.

That was a weekend now that I have cleaned my act up, that I will never tell my kids about.

The NEw Frontier is where we stayed for the MWC tournament a few weeks ago right on the strip, or if you have a car stay in Primm at Buffalo Bills.

I'll second funk's sentiment. The Motel 6es in Vegas are nasty, nasty, nasty. If you like hair on the pillows, wet towels already in the room, and worrying about whether or not you car/room will be broken into during of the middle of the night then by all means, stay there.

Unfortunately, Vegas has a shortage of hotels that fit in the "cheap but clean and safe" category.

My garage is frequently cheap and clean, given I often take up residence there.

However, don't mind the other denizens of that abode, doghouse that it is.

I think that at some point you probably should tell them about that weekend. Once they are grown up a bit. Especially if they are thinking about becoming Utes.
