1. Schedule a barmitzvah party in your backyard, ordering ham for everyone and entertainers from the local mosque;

2. Run naked through a Strip Hotel shouting "Fire" and "Jackpot for Millions" simultaneously;

3. Ride alone in 107 degree heat, to reassert one's manhood, while you actually shrink one's manhood.

Things to know about riding in Vegas summer.

Your shift levers can blister your fingers because they get so hot.

Tires and tubes melt together. This is especially frustrating when changing tires.

Heat also raises heartrates to amazing levels. I didn't know 200 bpm with a core temperature of 102 was desirable or attainable at the same time. It is.

If you go really slow, it takes a long time to ride 150 miles making 206 look like a nightmare.

It is possible to consume thirteen bottles of forty ounces and still be thirsty.

Overall, not too bad except for the slowness.

Did you do it for fitness or recreation? If fitness, when it's 107 out might I suggest switching venue to an indoor tennis court.

Arch you are going to love this cool mountain air in September. Slow down a little, between being on the road a couple of days this week and getting the kid ready to go my miles are way down. I hope I can finish.

For whatever reason my conditioning is just not up to par. I had hoped for a 20 mph average but it won't be even close.

We will finish but we will not like our time. That twelve hour time looks a lot better than I had originally planned.
