Even USU is competing better than BYU did
BYU's Tourney incompetence is very frustrating, and inexplicable.
We have a high enough base that with some creaitivity, some measure of competence should be achievable within a period of five years.

There were nearly a dozen teams that are not as talented as BYU that played a lot better than we did. Not just USU, but teams like CS Northridge as a 15 seed gave Memphis all they wanted for most of the game. Other examples were Dayton, E. Tenn. State, Cleveland State, Siena, Butler, Temple, Akron, W. Kentucky, and VCU. None of those with maybe the exception of Butler would have beaten us on a neutral floor during the regular season. There is more to it than talent. We just didn't even show up. Utah showed what they're made of when Nevill sits out most of the game or plays with 4 fouls.
