My mom will say "you know better than to watch something that drives the spirit away." She would prefer that no movies whatsoever were made.

My mother used to not let us make home-made root beer in Coke bottles. She said we should "avoid even the appearance of evil."

My roommate hides her R's & her journal under my bed whenever her parents come to visit. She's had a bit of a wild past, and doesn't trust her mother to not succumb to the temptation to read the journal.

My mother did not want us to dress our brand new baby girl in clothes that showed her shoulder because it was too revealing. She spends hours thinking this stuff up.

R-rated movies. I don't even know what she has. All I know is that there was a whole little stack of DVD's that she shoved under my bed the night before they arrived.

I have 130 DVD's and probably over 30+ are of the R rated variety...and they're there for all to see.

I've had a comment or two in the past about it, but nothing too bad. I have had one girl tell me she wouldn't go out with me because I watch R rated movies and that was fine with me.

I hadn't planned on asking her out anyway.
