BYU receives 100k/yr from BCS, Notre Dame 1.6m/yr
in years that they don't get selected for a BCS game.
This article illustrates the extent to which BYU has been left out in the new system. http://www.cbssports.com/collegefoot...ew-playoff-era Game, set, match. We are done without a Big 12 invite, which is only a pipe dream. And a Pac-12 invite, which is a crack dream. |

Have the recent performances demanded BYU be included?
BYU is done pretending to be a player.

1.6m a year for NOT playing in a BCS game. They could go 0-12 and still collect the check. That's just stupid.

Unless you're ND. Then you're just ND and you deserve it.

ND has one of the largest fan bases in the country. Yes, they do have more economic and political influence than BYU, and rightly so.

They do have one of the largest and the most influential fan bases in the country, HOWEVER, they are not a conference and should not be treated as such.
They get all the perks of being in the conference without actually being in a conference not to mention a good chunk of change for not going to a bowl game at all. ND has a lot of pull so let's just give them money? It is easy to understand why they get more 'pull' because of their following but they seem to be the only team with that kind of pull. Why should they be so unique? If they want the perks that come with being in a BCS conference then let them join a BCS conference. They do not deserve to have their own set of rules.
