Is that pretty common dialogue for you and danimal? Not being flip, just wondering if maybe I need to dial it up to 11 when I'm emailing my wife. We don't IM, so email and text will have to do for now. Like I said before, if you go down that road, the expected response is likely something sexual, hence the reference to cyber sex. I made it clear that I didnt see why it would be wrong. My question was whether it was common in our culture. Junkie shared a story of his friend telling him about f-ing his wife while on vacation, so I guess this kind of chat is not uncommon?

It is not common in my household, especially not sharing of this info with third parties. In fact, I would rather be SU's gospel doctrine instructor than share any of this sort of information with anyone here.

Sharing intimate details of your love life with a friend is totally different than telling your spouse that you are horny.

So, in essence, thanks for answering my question. IM away.

I have no clue if it is common in our culture. I don't typically kiss and tell. Perhaps this should be a poll question.

Again, I have never said there was anything wrong with it. I am just wondering if this is more common than one would think. I assumed that it would not be a common practice amongst LDS folk, however I have known to be wrong on many topics, so perhaps I am behind the count on this one. I referenced Junkie's story not as a critique of Junkie or his friend, but to show how something that I would have assumed to NOT occur very much in our culture actually does seem to occur. Again, it seems like I am the one who is out of touch on this topic. Admittedly, Junkie's story may be an extreme example, while MRD's IM may be benign, harmless fun between spouses.
