If your father is a stake president, stake patriarch or GA
what status in Mormon aristocrasy does that convey to you, as his progeny?

I think that for many it gives you instant respect. When my dad was mission president people we suddenly got an upgrade in respect from some members.

I just noticed the children of GAs and Stake Presidents seem to take others for granted, as if we will all recognize their righteousness.

The son never changed and is the same today as he was growing up. The daughter, however, all of a sudden became some sort of elitist when she enrolled at BYU. (Maybe that had something to do with it, eh? ) Anyway, she ended up marrying Brian Taylor and it's always been my belief that they married the other for status: he was a basketball player and she was a GA's daughter. What's my point? I really don't have one other than GA kids are no different than anybody else's kids.

I don't know what church he lives in, but where I come from, the children of stake presidents aren't seen any differently from those who are the children of Primary teachers. In my stake, the president's family was a good one before he was called. They're still good people. I don't see people asking them for autographs. |

Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith. |

In my experience, everyone of these people I've known has had at least one son what was a complete a-hole.
