Let me know how that works out when little Mike and little Farrah grow attached.

Dog "foster parents" have agreed to take our puppy.

What a wonderful group of people out there, willing to raise and foster puppies, until they can be placed.

On the one hand, you have the sort of people that will toss a puppy into a backyard with a full-grown German Shepherd, and on the other hand you have people that will selflessly raise these dogs so they can be placed.

Hell, maybe we will adopt the puppy back, after it has been housetrained and otherwise socialized. Call it "value-added."

The organization say that this is the ideal age for puppies to get adopted, so hopefully it won't have to be in foster care very long.

Great observation about Obama's "Bo-gate", i.e. his reneging on a promise to adopt a shelter dog, but instead, adopting a purebred dog from the Kennedys.

Quote:
"As for the rescue pledge, the Obamas came up with a solution intended to lend a serious symbolic note: They're going to make a donation to the D.C. Humane Society."

Two lessons: 1) See how great cap and trade is? 2) Moving to Washington means that powerfully persuasive people take you on little jaunts away from your modest and principled intentions—jaunts that seem harmless, but exert a symbolic power of their own.

I don't have a problem with getting a purebred dog. Not at all.

I do have a problem with liars.
