of course not. using a taser is certainly better than using batons.

If I had been the cop, he would have been thrown face down. I would have had a knee in his back, pressing HARD. His arm would be around his back, and twisted HARD, with my weight then against that arm, to free me up to grab his other arm, and apply cuffs.

Notice the number of women cops? Sometimes strength matters, with a dildo like that. You want women as cops you are going to have to use methods beyond what I have described.

People that deal with psychiatric patients are trained to avoid physical conflict through various judo-like techniques. The techs are taught to be able to take people down without hurting them. Restrain them, and give involuntarily injections with uncooperative violent patients. These cops didn't look very adept at that. So that's where I find them incompetent.

WHen you are the perp, you need to take these things into account. Who is more likely to shoot me? The 6'8" 275lb linebacker who can toss me like a leaf, or the 5'0" 80lb cop, as I'm dancing around, avoiding arrest, hitting.

This guy, in different situations, but with the same behavior, might see himself get killed some day.

So let me ask a question to you NS, did this guy have the right to defend himself against arrest or being escorted out?

He became famous and made a lot of money in exchange for 15 minutes of bad behavior. I'm curious how much money he is going to make. Do you lawyer folks have an estimate?

No question in my mind the dude meant to get tasered. He got up their planning to cause a problem, was repeatedly warned and just kept yelling.

That said, that many cops with that small of a guy, you'd think they could have gotten him subdued and removed from the room without the taser.

If Florida is like Texas, it won't be very much. Texas has laws that make suing Texas public universities not really worth it. Remember the A&M bonfire tragedy? The families stood to only be able to get something like 100,000 apiece. Or maybe it was even less than that.

The state is stupid. It protects its own pockets.

Try suing a doctor at the VA. By federal law, you can't even deliver a subpoena to a VA doctor to sue.

I don't think the kid can get thrown in jail for exercising his right to free speech.

That said, the University can decide whether or not someone is allowed on their facilities or in their buildings. They wanted him out of there and he wasn't going. They were justified in doing what they did. Those cops were probably University Rent-a-cops. They probably wrote him a ticket and it's done.

P.S. - I loved watching him squirm and moan as well. Hilarious. Strange though, because he was attempting to make Kerry look bad - an undertaking I find admirable.

Were they actual cops? Or just campus police? I would think that if they were actual cops, you'd be right, they should've restrained him...and actually dragged him to the hall instead of the back of the auditorium.

If they were just campus police, then I could understand the struggle, as they are probably not trained to deal with those situations.

For more college entertainment, search "Ultimate Warrior @ UCONN" I don't know how to post videos, but the 7 minute Q&A after his speech is pretty entertaining.
