So far as I can tell the only people who are seriously steamed about what Collie said are active Mormon Utes. This whole bruha is more funny than anything else. I hope everyone caught the humorous diarama on Utefans with the Titanic and such yesterday. I thought of Waters and his favorite obsession when I read the punch line.

Poor picked on Austin Collie. Next we are going to hear how he had such a tough life, because once when he wanted to go on the date his Dad wouldn't let him take the new car, and he had to take the Honda Accord which was 4 years old.

Look I'm now glad that Collie made that statement, because the humor of him whining about being a poor picked on upper-middle class white Mormon is pure gold. This is almost as good as JJ Redick's poetry.
Everybody is happy. I am laughing at your whining, you are laughing at Collie's whining. Collie has done a very good thing and has us all laughing.

It's part of the magic.

The "active LDS Ute fan" is as big a self righteous idiot as the BYU mullah.

This latest victory has resulted in a whole new level of petty, bitter conduct from the utes. It's fascinating...keep it up!

With allegedly so many other examples of petty, bitter behavior around, you choose this as your poster child for petty and bitter?

...Interesting.

It is interesting for sure. I'm sure many of my posts could have been construed as petty and bitter, but this one not at all. Look I have come around on Austin Collie. I am very happy he made that statement, because the follow up with his white Mormon oppression is pure comedic gold.

This is right on the level of Marty Johnson complaining about football player hating gangs up at Utah.

IOW, it demonstrates that the bubble surrounding BYU is no tighter than the bubble around the UofU. Fair enough. Utes always have had a "less righteous" complex.

I'm trying to picture this kind of a "controversy" between say, Ohio State and Michigan and ... it's just ... not ... coming.
